Also, less people will be needed in order to run or maintain the servers. This is just two different ways that it saves a company money, though, and there are many more ways.

Many people these days expect to get more with less, and that's exactly what a company gets with Server Virtualization. It does this by putting together all the common infrastructure resources. No longer is the method of having one application and one server the main idea here. A company will get much more with less servers by virtualizing their servers.
