I have an email account for several years. At the beginning, I spent some money to get such a 'chic' thing and didn't enjoy as much fun as I imagined. As time goes on, I find I can get a free email account easily, and it is more convenient to communicate with other via emails. It has become my necessary tool for international communication.

Every day I have to send and read several emails; it has become my daily activity. Sometimes, I will ask my friends some recommendations of my cabinet knobs; or I will invite them to my party on vacations. Emails make everything simple and easy. I still remembered that when I was a middle school student, I would write several letters a week to keep contact with my pen friends; but now my niece, who is a 12-year-old student, writes send and receives emails from her friends every day. And she even has many friends from different countries. At my time, I would save my pocket-money to buy stamps, but my niece doesn't need to spend a cent on her emails. Moreover, I had to wait a week or a longer time for my letters, but now she only needs several minutes to hear from her friends in a distant country. At present, there are few people sending traditional letters.



Email now is fast and convenient, so more and more people get their own emails. Though I was the first one who had an email account among my friends, now each of them has one. We all think that we become closer after us sending emails to each other regularly. Every message becomes a simple click of a button at anywhere. May be I can send an email at my office and read another email at a beauty salon.

When I decide to learn French last year, I made friends with a French friend. So I always wrote emails to her in French, and she would reply my in French too. At the same time, she would correct my mistakes and taught me some original French. After a period of time, I had made much progress in my written skill. I thought that was an easy and interesting way to learn a foreign language.

If I need some good Cabinet Knobs, I will ask for recommendations from my friends via email. This is modern life.
